Volunteer
Most of our volunteers say the Maxwell is their happy place. Food may have a lot to do with that as well as the new friendships and skills people make. But we also work hard to give our volunteers the best experience, find what works for each person, regardless of if they are helping with the garden, cooking, fundraising, supporting groups or doing social media... People with different life journeys and talents make the Maxwell a diverse, inclusive, happy and healthy environment for us all. We are always interested in meeting new volunteers and have a wide range of roles available. Lunch is provided and travel expenses can be covered for Dundee postcodes.

Research Collaborations & Student Placements
Every year we collaborate or help design research projects that can have a positive impact on communities and food growing. We regularly have a few students from Dundee universities, colleges, high schools and other projects who we support to gain work experience in various disciplines, from food nutrition to community development, education, horticulture, creative degrees and more. We are always happy to welcome those who want to make a difference through their careers and enjoy keeping in touch and supporting if we can.
